Dr. Eggman (Julian Kintobor / Ivo Robotnik)
Why would you like to play as this character?: I am a villain fanatic. I will be honest about that. I love RPing villains and I am a sonic fan, so I've always wanted to play Dr. Robotnik. On the long running sonic RP I was on he was taken, so I played the awesome Mephiles the Dark instead. Eventually, on the site's last incarnation, Eggman finally opened up and I got to play him, but the site died shortly after and thus I have been looking for a place to play him. Now that I found this site, I (hope) that I will have that place.

Give an example of your roleplaying skill:
It seemed like a normal day for the community known as Furville. The sun shined brightly in the sky, the people, mobians of the proud republic of acorn went happily about their business. Mobian children played happily in the streets. However, this ordinary day would soon turn to terror as one man's machinations fell into place.
In the skies above the light of the sun slowly changed to darkness as it was blotted out by a massive airship. The mobians, going about their day stood in shock and terror at what they saw. It was a horrific, monstrous machine, colored red and silvery-gray, with yellow accents and the symbol of the Eggman empire etched right onto the side of it's massive hull.
Inside the ship, Dr. Eggman had a vile smirk on his face as he started typing a string of code into the keypad on the arm of his command chair. Excellent!.... Eggman thought to himself With Sonic and those other freedom fighting fools occupied by my newest toy this city has been left all alone, defenseless and ripe for the taking! My plan has worked flawlessly! Distract the hedgehog with my latest Silver Sonic model and seize control of a city while he's all tied up. Simple, elegant and effective! Eggman continued to think to himself as his command input was completed.
With that hatched on the underside of his airship opened up, sending a shower of massive drop pods down into the streets of Furville. The citizens ran and screamed in terror as the pods crashed into the streets, tearing up pavement and destroying buildings and whatever else happened to be in their way as they landed. As the people fled the pods opened up and legions of terrifying, black swat-bots marched out, guns at the ready.
In his airship Eggman's face contorted into a twisted smile as he flipped on the viewscreens of his command chamber. Before his eyes he witnessed the destruction caused by his legions. The robots layed utter waste to the citizenry of Furville. Children cried as they saw their parents cut down by lazer fire right before their eyes. The police tried to defend the people but they to where shot down in a ballistic and lazer hail.
"I haven't had this much fun since I watched Metal Sally squeeze the life out of that damn blue hedgehog!" Dr. Eggman declared as he watched the unfolding scene. As he witnesses the chaos he was causing he could not help but remember his past campaigns. How he loved to cause destruction and suffering. In his mind danced memories of the past Robotnik wars. Of all the destruction he caused. Of his greatest, most fearsome creations. The evil grin on his face only grew wider as the destruction continued. "Looks like I will be announcing my victory soon...and with that hedgehog tied up nothing will be left to stop..."
The doctor's words where cut short by a horrific sight appearing in his viewscreen. An explosion. Fallen swatbots.....and an all to familiar face. Dr. Eggman's evil smirk quickly changed into an expression of pure rage as he gazed fiercely at the smirking hedgehog on his viewscreen, holding up the decapitated head of his latest silver sonic model as if to mock the doctor. Rage filed every fiber of the doctor's body ."I HATE THAT HEDGEHOG!!" He yelled as he slammed his fist against the armrest of his command chair. "Looks like it's time to switch to plan B.." he said, frustration and rage evident in his tone as he readied himself for the coming conflict.
Head canons: I am a fan of the Archie comics continuity. Eggman, in particular, was my favored character in the Archie comics series and as a result for his portrayal here on this site I'd probably want to RP him in a very similar vein to his Archie comics self. I absolutely love the idea of Eggman as a dictator, and roboticization, despite not being something he developed himself, is another aspect of the Archie comics continuity I think is awesome and would want to see in play here. Finally, Archie comics show just how nasty a villain Eggman can really be when his full potential is used, and as a result I will probably draw from the Archie continuity more then any other place when I RP him.
As for how I envision the character, the above should give you an idea. To me, Eggman is a great villain. A scheming, megalomanical dictator-scientist who rules his Eggman Empire with an iron fist and seeks to expand his reach to every corner of Mobius. Highly intelligent and extremely ruthless and cruel, he's not the Eggman of the games who's mostly used for laughs. He is Mobius' most brilliant scientist and feared tyrant. He is a villain through and through.
