New Board Idea: Plotting Pages

*scoots forward* is it pathetic that I'm actually nervous posting this? yeah. yeah it is.

Basically, plotting pages are small advertisements of a character. They allow other people, OOC-ly, to post ideas for plots and threads with your character(s), enabling people to thread more, and thus RP with more people than the average open thread would allow.

A basic advertisement for a plotting page would basically be;

"This is [BLANK], my character. S/He is a fox, and works with the Freedom Fighters. She enjoys running through the woods, eating berries, etc."

They're really just small sections of the board that allow people to plot together without having to go back to PMs or the chatbox. And it allows people with different characters to advertise them all at once, and let people who don't often roleplay ... well, roleplay.

I suppose it could go beneath "Inhabitants", seeing as that's where all the character info is.

It's just a simple idea, and it's not necessary. I just think it would help a lot of people who might be shy with approaching others in PM or in the chatbox a little more freedom and comfort. :'3

So is it like where we 'advertise' the character and people will then show their interest in rping with the owner of that character where the owner uses that character?

Or where people make a plot where the advertised character has a role in it?

I think I may be a little confused with the idea. xD Though I don't see anything wrong with making the board. :>

Though I think this is a good idea, wouldn't this fit under the brainstorming board just as easily?

Maybe it could be a sub-board inside brainstorm.

Well if it's advertising wouldn't we be better off just posting a link to our character profiles?

Well, yes, but it also allows you to put in fields that a profile may not let you define. What they dislike in people, what would make someone their enemy, who they'd be interested in romantically, who they'd perhaps be friends with -- in reality, it's just OOC interaction that is easier to keep up with than with PMs and the Cbox.

I don't know; it was just an idea that I've seen executed before. I've never really had to explain it before. xD If it causes too much fuss, it doesn't have to be implemented. Simply a suggestion, really.

But if it's advertising our characters it should be in a place that can be seen easily I believe it should either be a thread where people can post their char advertisements or a Board within the inhabitants tab where people post threads for their char advertisement
