Elaine Sullivan
Basic
Name: Elaine Diane Sullivan
Nickname(s): None; she doesn't prefer them.
Gender: Female
Species: Overlander
Age: Twenty - eight
Birth date: September 13th
Birthplace: Born in a Space Colony outpost, in the slummier parts.
Occupation: Mechanic [formerly], Mech Specialist, Weapons Tech
Alignment: Evil.
Personality: Elaine is rather... Chaotic Neutral, just bordering Chaotic Evil. Her 'evil' connotations come from her cynical attitude, lack of filter, and the legions of sketchbooks filled to the brim with plans for mechs, machines, chemicals, poisons, pollutants, and tons of metal jargon. She isn't exactly in for the destruction of the world; rather, mechs are her talent, and they're what she earns her keep on.
Elaine has an IQ of 157 on the Terman scale, 13 points over the number considered "Genius". She has an extensive knowledge of mathematic, biological, and chemistry-related subjects, on account of years of studying and self-teaching beneath the slummy skies of her birthplace. She has never been outwardly kind to any Mobian she's met, and tends to remain a sharp-tongued individual around them. Her general attitude towards everyone relies on the impression they make, as her first opinion never tends to change.
Description: Standing around five foot seven, Elaine is rather average in appearance; not exactly the most beautiful woman on Earth, but not a forgettable face. Her face is angular in appearance, with pale skin, cheeks flushed with freckles, and brown eyes. Her hair - once long - is cropped and short, and red-orange in color. (A good example, though not in color;) She is rather skinny, but toned, and weighs in at 145 lbs of muscle. She has little bust to speak of.
Her outfit is very simple, comprised of leather and durable materials. She wears a black vest, over which is a pale grey quarter-bust trenchcoat with long sleeves. She wears dark grey, high-waisted trousers, and white wedge-heeled boots with black lines running up the sides. She has a belt on, outfitted with multiple empty compartments and small bags that she hasn't found uses for yet.
Bio
Elaine was born to Mara and Donovan Sullivan in a small, unnamed outpost from the Space Colony, set up just outside of the Ark's field of vision. The slums of the outpost were filled with all walks of life, and Elaine - with her elder brother, Nash - soon learned that any substantial life would have to be lived out of the comfort of home and community.
Nash was never a very smart young man, but he knew his sister had more potential than he ever did, and when he wasn't working to support the family, he was swiping textbooks, workbooks, novels, pencils, and notebooks for his sister so that she could educate herself and, hopefully, get out of their hell-hole of a home.
Elaine, with her mother and father, stayed above the garage of an old friend of her father's - "Gettyson Greg". Preferring the cool and different environment of Greg's garage, Elaine would often be curled up in the corner, perched on a stool amidst tools and paperwork, scribbling at her multiple workbooks and listening to Greg as he talked to himself, mumbling about his mechanical workings.
Greg had worked on mechs and weaponry for the Space Colony's old military unit, and had littered scraps and metal bits all over his garage that Elaine would tinker with. Greg never expressed the desire to teach her how to build or even how to run the mechs, but after Elaine - upon finishing her self-scheduled lessons for the day - would poke and prod and beg for him to tell her how it the process worked, he eventually gave way.
By age fifteen, Elaine was working at Greg's garage for a minimum pay, and Nash had taken over three jobs upon the death of their father. Elaine had since taught herself years worth of geometry, chemistry, biology, and calculus, and was now working full-time on designing mechs and weapons that - with the Space Colony's fall - would never be created. Greg paid her out of pity, even if all she did was sit at a small, dilapidated desk and doodle away in an old sketchpad.
When Nash divided the final earnings he'd scrounged up after working for so many years (as he had begun working when Elaine was six, and he was eight), he sent Elaine away. She, at the age of twenty, had no singular idea of where to go. With the currency in her pocket losing value the farther she went from the Outpost, she had little to offer but brains and a bit of over-average looks. She lived as a drifter, staying where those would allow her to, fixing their mechanical items and being paid in food and little money.
After two years of drifting, Elaine ended up settling in a small compound of ruins near Red Mountain. This was a temporary home for her, but it was quickly removed after one night, when the disturbance from a volcanic eruption caused the electronics in the compound to go off-kilter, lighting up and causing an internal explosion. This explosion was one of the first that woke the drifters in the compound up, and Elaine was a part of the handful that managed to get out - not without consequence, of course.
The radius from the final explosion was huge, and Elaine and a few others were caught in the reaction. Elaine's leg was crushed beneath a flying piece of debris, and others were caught up in flames, beneath hunks of metal, and the landscape was positively littered. While she was able to weasel out from beneath the compound door that trapped her, Elaine's right leg eventually had to be amputated, and was replaced with a cybernetic model later on in life.
After years of drifting, and years of collecting money and idle mechanical parts, Elaine finally managed to settle with an apartment in Station Square, with a studio of her own in the basement levels beneath. She lives on her own, with little actual relationships other than her business contacts. She has a mild interest in the Chaos Emeralds, but she does not yet know what purpose she could use them for -- all she knows is that they're powerful, and she does indeed like that.
Extra: Her right leg, from 3/4 of the thigh down, is metal. Inscribed in one of the lower foot panels is the text; "Model 42-1.A8 Mecha TKCAF, Hollow Ver. 21".

Specialty: Energy-based guns
Special Attacks:
- Energy Shot - simply an aspect of the gun she created. The thing is about half her height, and half her weight; not necessarily important for attacks as it is for show, it does have a limited arsenal of 'energy shots'; literal blasts of small, electric spheres.
