Castiron
Basic
Name: Castiron
Nickname(s): Cas, Cast, Ironbutt
Gender: Female
Species: Shark
Age: 24
Birth date: September 27
Birthplace:
A planet known as Parox. This planet is primarily a barren wasteland with less than 10% consisting of 'Marbled' Forests. There are only two major cities known as the North city and the South city; they are located at opposite poles in correlation with their names. Each city consists of three rings with the Lower ring, known as the Black zone, being the outermost portion of city and is where the poor reside, a middle ring known as the Gray Zone where industrial workers, factories, and the Middle Class resides, and the center ring known as the White Zone where the richest live and politics and government are handled. Castiron is from the Gray zone of the northern city.
Occupation: Mercenary
Alignment: Neutral
Personality:
Ambitious (sometimes) and Narcissistic – When she sets out to do a job, it can normally be expected that she’ll get the job done; however this may change if Castiron stumbles upon something that may benefit her own interests. If something comes up that involves settling a feud between her and another, then she’ll hold that to a higher regard than her job.
Live-wire – Generally energetic, Castiron always loves to be doing something. She can get bored extremely fast and would much rather be out and about finding something to do rather than sitting around wasting away. Her actions can be unpredictable in and out of battles.
Kind (sometimes), yet vengeful– Castiron generally doesn’t try to kick anyone’s butt willy nilly. She’s fairly kind to others, though can be extremely inconsiderate and aloof of other people’s emotions. When someone does mess with her, which can be something as little as taking her favorite pen, she will lash out with force to exact revenge.
Optimistic– Despite any grim situation that may confront her, Castiron always finds a way to look on the brighter sides of things.
Social – She’s a social butterfly. She loves to talk, and she loves expressing herself through body movements. She has a sharp mouth and maintains a joking attitude.
Wily – Castiron loves getting creative with her schemes. They can be just as unpredictable as her actions and more than half the time she’ll end up gaining the advantage she wants. She’s very clever, and knows how to work her way through a situation.
Loves attention – If there’s one thing Castiron loves, its attention. She’ll do anything to get it from anyone even if that attention is good, in the sense of being praised, or bad, in the sense of being attacked. So long as she’s acknowledged she’s content.
Jokester – Dire situations, heated conversations, a divorce suit in court; it doesn’t matter to this woman, Castiron just doesn’t care much for serious airs and would much rather crack a stupid pun than deal with the uptight.
Weakness – Severely affected by electricity.
Likes – Attention, meeting new people, massages, being active, building things.
Dislikes – Being wronged, downers, getting scolded.
Fear – Being forgotten.
Bio
Born in the North city Castiron grew up in the middle ring. Due to the hazardous conditions of Parox, each citizen chooses a creature of some sort known as a ‘Catalyst.’ This Catalyst accepts a part of the user’s soul through a blood bond process. If the user is fatally wounded or dies, the Catalyst takes the damage instead and while the user heals and lives the Catalyst, along with part of the user’s soul, dies. This makes the user weaker, however gives them another chance at life. User’s may have up to three Catalyst’s in a life time, however can only have one at a time. Each time they lose a Catalyst they lose part of their own soul and get weaker; if they do somehow lose their second Catalyst. It is highly possible they may enter a comatose state.
The first Catalyst bonded bonded to Castiron was a Desert Cactal Shark by the name of Denzen, the two bonded while she was at the age of three (the age most receive their first Catalyst on Parox).
Always wanting to be impress her father (Blackwater) Castiron did her best to show up her three brothers (Cannon, Bullocks, and Sinkhole). Being the oldest she was quick to grow tough and avoid getting hurt when the three decided to gang up on her. When she turned 12 she started work in a factory manufacturing sheets of metal to be used for construction alongside her father; however this task grew boring at times, especially when the older workers pushed her aside to allow the more experienced to handle the job, this went on for two years. Finally, there came a time her attention span didn’t want to bother with the job anymore, so she began churking her work to head to the market or outside the city to play with her powers.
Time went on and her father began growing impatient with his daughter. More fights erupted in the house, and Castiron found herself staying away from home more and more often. Her brothers tended to tag along as well. That same year, another child was born and it was another female (Basiz). This would be daddy’s new girl; however the politician’s (having the ability to do as they please with the citizens) came and tried taking Basiz away simply because a shark in their fish tank sounded like a fine idea to them. Castiron stood up to them, which was a big mistake on her part. Right then and there they threatened to kill her, however her mother offered herself up instead; both she and the new child wound up being taken as toys for the politicians while Castiron was left to be hated by her family. Times got hard without Leema (her mother) present, and money grew tight. Her remaining family rarely spoke to her even though they all lived in the same home.
To save her family from being forced into the lowest ring; Castiron did the only thing she felt she could, mercenary work. She just barely managed to keep her family afloat as her father fell into depression and refused to go to work, and then came the job that changed her life. A man came to her offering a high price for a politician’s head; and as luck would have it the same one who had her mother too, so of course she accepted it. She managed to get in and find her mother and baby sister, and suddenly she became more concerned with getting them out rather than taking out the target. She led them out to the front steps and they were home free, or so she thought until her mother was shot dead by one of the guards (her catalyst having been killed in her servitude so she was left without any lives) and Castiron was shot through the lung. With the baby crying on the ground, she tried saving her however the target emerged and after spitting in her face, he recovered the baby. Seething with rage, Castiron created a massive anchor and managed to take off half the man's face before being rattled with bullet holes.
Her Catalyst died, and when Castiron awoke from her temporary state of comatose recovery she was in prison. Her target had lived and she was sentenced to hang the next morning in the town square of the Middle Ring. However, in the dead of night a ghost crept into her cell, however instead of stealing her soul it offered to become her new Catalyst so long as it could feed off her remaining soul as it pleased. Castiron agreed, knowing it would shorten her life but seeing as how her life would end tomorrow she saw it a better way out than her given situation. They exchanged blood and part of her soul was gifted to the new Catalyst. The ghost shark, known as Lockjaw, helped her escape prison using his abilities. She returned home, however found a family that only shunned her. Her father called the city guards, and the chase was on.
It didn't last long. Lockjaw gathered all his strength in order to emit a blast of energy that sent the two hurdling through space. The sudden teleportation came close to completely killing the two, however they awoke some days later on a planet completely unfamiliar to them; Earth. Years went by and while Castiron is finding new things that interest her everyday, she goes about her business as a mercenary.
