Jet the Hawk
Why would you like to play as this character?:
Jet is, to put it bluntly, not the character archetype I usually roleplay as. Honestly though, I’d really like to give it my best shot! I think that he’s an interesting character not only because of his foggy origins, but also because I feel I can make his personality slightly less abrasive than in the canon, so he’ll still be grumpy Jet; just a Jet other characters can actually speak to without becoming irrationally frustrated!
How long have you been roleplaying?:
I've been literately roleplaying for about six years.
Give an example of your roleplaying skill:
The night air stung his eyes, but the urge to gaze down upon the city and see it in its entire ugly neon splendor overtook the minor discomfort. From over his left shoulder, he could hear Storm’s heavy breathing and the strange anxious chortles rising from Wave’s throat. They were both impatient, but they had to wait. He simply had to take in all of Central City’s aerial view before he claimed the skies with his extreme gear; this was his key to being ‘unstoppable’.
Wave was the first to break the silence, her wings cutting the air as she let out an exasperated sigh. “Jet! We’re waitin’ too long up here! Storm ‘n I are goin’ down, we ain’t waitin’ for you anymore.” The green feathered hawk chirped, his eyes narrowed in anger.
“Hey! No, you can’t. I lead the Rouges- I get to choose what we do.” She snorted at him over her shoulder before firing up her board and before he could blink, she’d begun to rapidly descend the side of the skyscraper they were perched upon. Jet nearly screamed after her fleeting form before his own deck illuminated the concrete. “That… That jerk! Nobody bosses me around.”
Storm watched the clash with a silent calm, his own feathers rustling softly while he eyed his fuming leader. “…Shall we, Boss?” Jet glanced his way before nodding and huffing a sarcastic ‘duh’. Within moments, the hawk dropped from the side of the building followed by a silver blur; the Babylon Rouges took mere seconds before disappearing into the pulsating life and movement of Central City’s main roads as if the trio had been running these streets since they learned how to fly.
Head canons:
Jets very rude, condescending and obnoxious. He’s one of those ‘I’m right and you’re wrong even if you’re actually right’ types. Despite this negativity in his personality, he also finds himself wanting to keep his status as an extreme gear rider in a positive light and will occasionally do contradicting things to make it so. Jet doesn’t really care about others, but will play a heroic role if it will end up benefitting his image in the long run.
One thing he does consider fairly important is the history of his family as extreme gear riders, though. He aims to be better than his widely renowned father, hopefully becoming wealthy in the process.
Additional Information:
Jet’s extreme gear, Type-J, is prone to temporarily shorting out during steep ascents. In worst case scenarios, he’ll either keep trying to re-boost or abandon the board and use his wings to glide to safety.
