"This would happen."
There was a loud click and a whir, and the entire earth seemed to shake beneath her feet as the two-ton mecha crashed to its berth. Her feet trembled as all of her weight simultaneously shifted from muscle to muscle, a firm hand placed against the smooth surface of metal beneath cloth, eyes watching as the green lights of faulty system errors blurred over the robot's visual screen. The whirring subsided into a small clicking rattle, and the fans inside the mech's chest to her right clanked and clattered as they tumbled to the back of its cavity.
"You would fall apart," the young woman repeated, heaving herself to her feet and giving the hunk of delapidated metal a swift kick to the cranium. It made no noise; just the chorus of shambling metal and various cords being tossed about by the force of her foot sounded. This was a severe problem. She had another mech, of course, but it was halfway up the incline, and out of sight of the Chemical facility. Without the mech she had brought with her functioning, she could barely do anything but sit and wait.
Settling down next to the large mass of junk, Elaine let out a small sigh, her eyes everywhere but the robot she leaned against. "Now you're broken, and I've got to get R-1 down here and gather whatever you were carrying and -- nnngh, this ruins everything. Thank you, you hunk'a junk."
Zipping her trenchcoat's collar up to her chin, Elaine sighed as the air purifier she had managed to install in the inner linings of the threadwork rose up around her mouth and nose, the pale blue screen flickering with air rates and chemical pollution levels. And my, aren't they high, she mused, wetting her lips and glancing about the pristine hanger she now sat in.
And 'pristine' was not a word she expected to use... but there was no denying the quality of this place. It was nearly eerie, the amount of quality that the area held; while it was no doubt awful for the environment surrounding the place, Elaine couldn't stop herself from boggling. And for a woman leaning against the dead shell of a mech in the middle of a possibly-hostile environment, it was definitely not the time to be appreciating the scenery.
But, she couldn't help admiring the technicality of the place.
Shifting up against the mech next to her, she struggled to her feet, fanning out her trenchcoat's cloak and brushing off her thighs with an idle clear of the throat. Now there was simply the task of carrying this mech out... and she definitely did not have that caliber of strength.
"... Well... damn."

Spike, Ken, and Angie were running through the factory. They were trying to get rid of it so that it doesn't pollute the environment any more. They made it into a room. "Woah cool." Spike remarked. "Whoever made this, ya gotta give the person credit. This place is massive!" Spike continued. Then, he stepped on a pressure pad. Then, they heard a voice say on the speaker. "Warning! Intruder alert!" The walls started moving in on each other about to crush them, a flashing red light surrounded the room as they tried to get ou but the doors were sealed shut.

The sound of a helicopter could be heard high above the Chemical plant, a G.U.N chopper hovered over the abandoned plant, the side door opening to allowed a Black hedgehog to stand on the edge "Remember you mission Shadow! Your to investigate the presence of unauthorised personnel in the area and report back!" yelled a G.U.N soldier over the roar of the engine to the hedgehog who hmpf'd in reply and simply fell forwards with his arms outstretched going into a free fall.
Bringing his arms and limbs close to his body he spear headed down to the Chemical plant as the helicopter left, the black hedgehog narrowing his eyes against the wind, spotting a ramp to land on. Forming into a ball the hedgehog spun creating a golden surge of energy to surround him before he shot off suddenly changing direction with a homing attack, soaring to the fast approaching ramp and landing with out much trouble, unfolding from his ball form and skidding to a halt, flames coursing around his feet as he braked. Standing up to his full height and looking down he began heading towards the last known location of the disturbance that G.U.N had detected, skating at incredible speeds with flames shooting off from beneath him

"Well, we're doomed." Spike said, doubting they would ever get out. Ken tried to smash his way out but couldn't, the walls were made of some sort of strong metal. They continued to try and get out, though they were just going to get crushed anyways. The walls are now about to close in on them and they were out of options.

She barely had time to react before the warning blared through her ears.
"G.U.N. helicopter spotted nearly two yards away."
Whinging from the volume of the blaring, electronic message, Elaine weaseled a small screwdriver from one of the pocket's on her belt, eagerly maneuvering the front chest panel off of the mech beneath her. Inside lay scattered mechanical parts, and most importantly, the records to a particularly noxious-yet-brilliant technological serum. Fishing these few tablets out and shoving them in one of the inner pockets of her coat, Elaine tugged out the central neurological box from the mech's inner workings and quickly turned on her heel.
"I was sure the barrier was down the way I came in," she breathed, exiting through the door the way she came in. Her heels clunked against the sleek metal, her nose stinging from the heavy smell of chemicals and polished iron; no matter how well her air purifier worked, it wasn't about to block out that stench.
There was a loud screech of alert, and the entire hall was bathed in red. In the middle of her stride, the Overlander froze, a chill running up her spine.
"Warning; intruder alert! Warning; intruder alert!"[/b][/color]
She bit her cheek, fumbling with the small tablet in her pocket. As the blue screen flushed with light, and the image of the chemical plant's map rose to the air in front of her face, she noted that the hall she was in was completely devoid of any security system. Whatever had triggered the alarm had been - as the blinking red showed - somewhere above her, in the upper floors.
"Let's hope that's what G.U.N. is here for," she mused to absolutely nobody, being utterly alone in the corridor. Picking up the pace in her step, Elaine could barely spot the hacked door to her right in the blinding red of the security lights. For a rather remote plant, it was sure tight on defense. As she banged a fist against the door's control panel, and almost at the same time the door slid open, she was sure she spotted the words "ROBOTNIK" stamped on the wall.
That would explain the security, she thought, darting out of the door and into the second floor - just in time to have a rush of golden light zoom past her, promptly causing her to stumble back against the closing door she had just run out of.
"Wh-- the world!?" she managed, a hand having flown to the gun at her hip on impulse. This place was suppossed to be empty, save for a few security robots she'd managed to avoid on the way in. With G.U.N.'s tight hold on the place, she wasn't surprised the warning had been acted on so quickly but ... what had that light been?

The golden light that was Shadow noticed the overlander that he passed. Shadow narrowed his eyes as he skidded to a halt, placing his hand on the ground to help lose the speed he had gain before he stood to his full height with his hands at his sides clenched into fists. "Who are you? And what are you doing here?" he demanded as he began walking towards the woman with his ruby eyes fixed on her. He had never been to this place before, everything around him looked similar to several of eggmans bases he had been to in the past but he had never been to this one specifically, it looked very old and outdated compared to recent technology but non the less it was an Eggman base.

A Mobian. And a hedgehog, at that.
He's not that speedy one, is he? If he was that golden light... hm. Shaking her head idly, Elaine crossed her hands before her chest, pressing the small file cards in her inner-coat pockets against her person. This hadn't been a part of the plan. And when things went 'off-plan', they tended to make her angry.
And less than sociable.
"That's a bit of an odd question to ask in a place like this," she mused, clearing her throat with a small scoff, "Do you want my number, too?"
Shrugging out the tablet from her pocket, Elaine's thought process raced as she opened up the map for the Chemical Zone, her heart thudding in her chest. She had never been an amazing liar; her father had always picked up on her fibs. But she didn't exactly figure a Hedgehog in the middle of a chemical plant would have a large amount of wit.
"The lower halls can only be accessed by personnel that the facility's intel knows. Seeing as I was down there, and the alarm went off somewhere else, I don't think I'm the one who should be getting questioned.
Of course, she hadn't mentioned the whole 'hacking' incident. If she had been clean in her work, the record wouldn't show in the programming. Still...
Well, instead of digging yourself a two-foot hole, you just dug a seventy-foot one. Good game, Elaine, good game.
Repressing a shudder at the many outcomes that could come from her masquerading as someone who had any right to be there, the woman turned the map towards her, wetting her lips and placing a hand on her hip. Then, turning the map towards him, she motioned to the blinking red space where the warning signal had originated.
"Do you really think I'm not supposed to be here? I just came up from the lower floors, to check that," she thrust a finger towards the blinking red, "out. You were with the G.U.N. ship, weren't you? Then you'll want to follow me."
... This can only end well.

Shadow narrowed his eyes, ignoring her previous comment about her phone number, staring at the map, he had passed by that area not too long ago and could get there in a flash but this woman held a pretty suspicious air about her and he could see through her lie in her eyes. "This entire area is off limits, after this I'll have some questions for you, now start walking, I'm going to keep my eye on you." He pointed towards the hallway he had just come through towards the location of the red blinking light.

"Very well then," she huffed, almost curtly - as if she had forgotten she was trying to keep up a major facade. Turning on her heel, the young woman started up the nearest incline, drinking in the clean air from her purifier before unzipped the throat of her coat. Her purifier flickered away, slipping back into the collar, and she cringed at the foul taste in the air.
"G.U.N. ... you lot were the ones behind the Space Colony ARK fiasco, right?"
She glanced over her shoulder as she walked, coat-tails brushing her thighs with each step. She could feel the crawling of fear laced with worry up and down her spine, the clawing of guilt in her stomach. If this went too far, she'd end up in a very nasty place indeed.
"The Colony, it, ah... She cleared her throat a little loudly, coming to stand before the door to the hall below the blinking red dot, Had a lot of wee outposts; did you know that? They weren't very close to the thing, but they were in the range of it.
"Our outpost went into a poverty strike when the ARK was shut down. You should have seen the propaganda against G.U.N. that year."
She tossed the hedgehog a wide, sardonic grin, opening the door with a swift flash of the hand and a quick tap to the box next to the hinges. It slid open with a hiss, and - from what she could see - the end of the hall was swathed in red, blinking light.
Warning, intruder alert! Warning, intruder alert!
"Yes, we know," she sighed, striding down the hall. What did you plan on asking me? she added, falling into stride next to the hedgehog.

Shadow followed silently after the overlander, he didn't care too much for G.U.N or it's morals, most of the time the military acted like the government, corrupt, short-sighted and idiotic, the hedgehog often wandered why he worked for the very thing that wanted to kill him not too long ago but he was asked by the president and wasn't in the mood to say no, besides Team Dark or at least two thirds of the team worked for G.U.N now. Whenever the overlander spoke he almost drowned out her voice with selective hearing, her attempts to lighten the mood and make it look like she hadn't just been caught with her hand in the cookie jar, didn't work on the immortal hedgehog.
"First off you didn't answer my earlier questions, who you are, what are you doing here?" he said as he followed behind her watching her body language carefully with his ruby eyes, watching each twitch of her body, every little movement of her eyes.

She sighed sharply.
"Nothing gets past you, huh?" She scoffed beneath her breath, trotting up the stairs that curled around the wall. "I'm Elaine Sullivan, mechanic. Mech specialist, really. The hunk of junk laying down in the Hall B1 is mine. Thing wandered in here and broke down. It had some important pieces to it that I didn't want to waste, so I wasn't about to bother minding my manners to come and pick them up."
And that was all she said - rather, all she managed to say. As she cleared her way through the security access with a few minor taps of the finger - all the while retaining a hushed comment about the lack of firewalls - a trapdoor in the bottom of the hall snapped open, and the red lights ceased flashing. There was a distinct metallic groan, as if metal sliding on metal had stopped moving.
Huffing, Elaine took a step over to the edge of the trapdoor, peering down at the motley crew inside.
"A bat, a hedgehog, and a tiger -- oh my."
Turning her head over her shoulder, she quirked a thin eyebrow to the darker hedgehog behind her.
"You know any of these Mobians?"

Shadow stared down at the small group of mobians, his eyes didn't change nor did they show any sign of emotion "No...G.U.N forces will come pick them up I think they should sit down there as a little punishment, I'll just have to report this in, afterwards I more questions" he said looking at the mechanic with an untrusting look as he backed away slowly a bit then pressed two fingers to his ear "This is Agent Shadow reporting in, I've found four unauthorised personnel at the chemical plant, three Mobian and one Overlander, the three Mobians are stuck in a disarmed trap and need evacuation, I'm going to continue investigating" he spoke into the hidden headset in his ear he broke contact and looked towards the overlander woman "Okay next couple of questions, who do you work for and can you take me to this robot of yours?" he asked
