Coal released a small explosion of fire around his body then quickly put it out. "There we go, nice and clean and free of any icky water." He looked over to see 3 more massive mechanic moles pushing down trees walking towards them. "Well that's not good."

Doug cracked his knuckles, preparing for an actual battle. "Hopefully no ridiculous nonsense will prevent a little excitement for us this time." He said with a grin and then got into a battle stance again.

"I'm a margay," Symph scowled at the blue hedgehog, wishing she had a better comeback. Instead, she spread out her fingers in her left hand and stretched out her arm, ready to tear off the head of one of those mechanical moles. "I'm Symph, by the way," she stepped forward, looking over her shoulder at him.
Looking ahead, she wondered, Who the heck would want to bulldoze the Mystic Ruins, anyway?

Doug chuckled at the name. "I'm Doug, madam." He then said back to her as he opened his palms again, them glowing with an aura of pure white light. He prepared as the mechanical moles approached. "I'm gonna get em good..." He said a little more quietly to himself.

each of the Moles struck the ground, creating a massive tremor.
Coal took the advantage and hopped on the back of the paw and started to run up, his fists blazing hot.

Doug nearly lost balance again, but he quickly began side stepping swiftly and then ran toward another one of the moles, flipping dramatically and then squatting down on one knee and shooting a concentrated beam of light at the mechanical mole.

Spike was still trying to clean some mud off of him. He looked at them. "Go ahead, I'll keep an eye out for any other baddies."

The mole was sent back a bit from the attack, making Coal lose his footing. "this will knock you down!" He shouts punching the mole's cockpit, pushing the mole to the ground.
Landing back to where Doug was he grinned, "stay on your guard."
The mole Doug and Coal were fighting scurried and started digging in the ground, burrowing deeper.
The second mechanical Mole started to bring down it's claw towards Symph.
The last Mole did the same towards the trio with spike.

Doug chuckled slightly, realizing Symph was safe, he focused his attention back toward the mole. "Right." He said toward the stranger to him that was Coal. Doug just kept an eye on the mole, waiting for it to make another move.

Watching the two boys attack with such speed was impressive, but she turned her attention to the mole in front of her. Its claw was hurling itself towards her with enough force to take down a robot its own size.
Symph took a stance backwards, reaching her left hand in front. A large shock wave shot itself from the Vortexal Ring, counteracting the Mole's claw.
"Oh no you don't!" she shouted, shoving the shock wave towards the Mole itself.

Spike started to run to it. He then threw a punch at the mole. It did nothing. He then felt a sharp pain in his knuckles. "Aaah! Bad idea! Bad idea!"

The ground began to shake violently beneath Coal and Doug, "oh lordy.." he mumbled
The mole crashed from below the two hedgehogs destroying the terrain.
Cole jumped up as much as he could to get to safety.
Spike's mole followed with a horizontal swipe to keep trying to hit him.
Symph's mole was pushed back from the shock wave then fired its drill nose at her, as if it were a missile.

Doug was sent into a crazy spiral into the air from the attack but quickly regained control of himself in midair and held his hands back, charging light. "Come on..." Doug muttered as he slowly began to descend downward back toward the mole. "I'm gonna get you ya ugly little robot..."

As the missile-like nose of the mole hurled itself at Symph, she took on a risky move that took a couple years to learn. She sent out a vortex, sending the missile even faster at her. When it got close enough, she quit focusing, and slashed out at the missile with a shock wave, sending it out in a direction towards the open sky. She grinned a bit, not believing that the missile didn't detonate in her face and that she was able to redirect it.
She turned her attention to Doug and the red hedgehog, who seemed to have briefly lost their terrain. "You guys okay?" Symph quickly shouted before turning her attention back to the Mole robot.
