Terror in the treetops

Spike was seriously broken inside. He had injured muscle tissue all distributed across his body. He also had a fractured bone in his right thigh bone. There was nothing else he could do, he was done.

With one final tug, Symph's boot finally came free of the mud, resurfacing for the first time in what felt like ages. "Finally!" she sighed with relief, then nodded towards the red hedgehog, "Thanks, by the way," before getting back to fighting the Moles.

She sprinted towards one of the Mole robots, dodging its thrashing claws, until she was behind it. Then, Symph began bashing into the robot with her shock waves, shoulder first. Her shock waves were leaving a bit of a dent, but it didn't seem like enough...

Angie ran over to Spike. She put her hand on Spike's cheek. "You did good, hun. You did good..." She said as she got up and tried to comb some mud out of her hair. She was still muddy from the quicksand predicament.

[Doug]

Doug flipped down and ran over to assist, moving nimbly on his feet. "Hey! Robot! YOU'RE TOO SLOW~!" He said, laughing from his silly taunt as he ran in place, getting ready to attack again. He nimbly moved around the robot, trying to find an opening.

[Coal Ashburn]

The mole swung it's massive arm towards Doug
Coal took a deep breath, "Running on empty...Let's do this." he started charging the mole, following what Symph recently did, and was ready to deliver a fire punch with Symph's shockwave punches.
Once the punch made contact, the only damage that occurred was a crack in the windshield.
"aw come on!" Coal shouts.
The cockpit (The mole's head) then pops up and rockets up in the air, then a loud screech from an intercom system echoed through the area "You may have stopped all of my Mechanized Mole Marauders but I promise I will return!"
The body of the mole remained motionless, the arm, barely stopped in front of Doug and Coal sighed, "That's it? The bad dude retreats because we broke a window!?"

[Doug]

Doug had a pokerface, like that meme of sorts. "... Well then, I wonder who that was though." Doug wondered himself. He went over to the others "Well nevertheless, we did good, guys." Doug smiled. "We all okay, we good?"

[Coal Ashburn]

Coal pointed at Spike who was on the ground. "I'm pretty sure Hero over here is badly injured." he replied walking down the immobile Mole's arm.

Angie looked at them. "He's been through a lot today, from drowning in quicksand to this." She smiled. "He did very great today. He's been a great help to us!" She laughed. "And I'm glad to be with him."

[Symph]

It was odd that the enemy-whoever that was-dropped out of the fight so quickly. And Symph was just getting warmed up, too. The red hedgehog pointed out the green one, who looked injured. Something told her that he'd be okay. She smiled.

"Looks like we did good, guys," she looked at the red hedgehog, "But... what now? Is that enemy guy coming back or what?"

[Doug]

Doug's hands slipped onto his hips, he smiled a little. "I think we'll be fine for now...." He said in a sort of response, looking over the robots. He scratched his head and sighed, walking around the robots and glancing over anything that may seem like a clue.

Spike started to slowly wake up. "Huh…?" He rubbed his eyes groggily. He tried to get up on his feet but collapsed to the ground. He winced in pain as he grabbed his thigh and lay there on the ground, terribly injured and muddy. "Uhm, any of you guys got a first aid kit or somethin'?" Angie asked them.

[Coal Ashburn]

Coal lightly tapped the disabled Mole's foot with his foot, "Well, I need to find evidence or look for clues as to why this random stranger is doing this stuff. From what I know, this particular area doesn't have anything special..." He said aloud to Symph as he inspects the area.
